Payment policy

This Payment Policy explains how payments are processed on D&B Market. All payments on the platform are handled directly by D&B Market to ensure buyer safety, fraud prevention, and fast dispute resolution.


1. Accepted Payment Methods

Buyers can complete orders using any of the secure payment methods supported on D&B Market:

  • Debit/Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Verve)
  • Bank Transfers (via supported checkout gateways)
  • Mobile Money/Wallets (if enabled)
  • Verified third-party payment processors approved by D&B Market

Note: Cash payments, direct vendor transfers, or payments outside the platform are strictly prohibited.


2. How Payments Work

  • All payments are made directly to D&B Market during checkout.
  • Vendors DO NOT receive payment directly from buyers.
  • Funds are held securely until the buyer confirms delivery, or the system auto-confirms after a set period.
  • After confirmation, vendors receive payouts through their registered payment details.

3. Payment Confirmation

Once your payment is successful, D&B Market will send:

  • A payment confirmation email or SMS
  • An order receipt
  • Real-time status updates in your account dashboard

If you do not receive a confirmation within minutes, contact support immediately.


4. Failed or Declined Payments

If a payment fails or is declined:

  • Your order will not be processed
  • You may retry using another payment method
  • Your bank may temporarily hold funds (pending reversal)

Reversals for failed transactions are handled automatically by your bank/payment processor and may take 24 to 72 hours, depending on your bank.


5. Refunds

Refunds are only issued under the following conditions:

  • Item was not delivered
  • Item delivered is damaged or incorrect
  • Refund approved after a valid return request

Refunds are returned only through the same payment method used during checkout.

Refund processing time depends on the payment processor:

  • Cards: 3 to 7 working days
  • Bank Transfers: 1 to 3 working days
  • Wallets: Instant or up to 24 hours

6. Prohibited Payment Practices

For buyer protection, the following are NOT allowed:

  • Paying vendors directly via bank transfer
  • Paying vendors through WhatsApp or social media
  • Paying outside D&B Market checkout system
  • Sharing payment receipts or card details with vendors

If any vendor asks you for outside payment, report immediately using the Report Vendor button or contacting support.


7. Chargebacks & Fraud

D&B Market has zero tolerance for fraudulent chargebacks or payment disputes.

If a chargeback is filed without a valid reason:

  • Your account may be suspended
  • Orders may be frozen
  • Legal actions may be taken depending on severity

Legitimate disputes will always be resolved fairly according to platform rules.


8. Security Measures

Your payments are protected using:

  • PCI-DSS certified payment gateways
  • SSL/HTTPS encrypted checkout
  • Fraud detection and monitoring systems
  • Verification of vendors before payouts

D&B Market never stores your full card details, CVV, or PIN.


9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Payment Policy occasionally to improve buyer safety. Changes will be posted with a new Last Updated date.
